Be different, be yourself...

In the two years I spent planning IN THE WRITE LIGHT I often imagined the fun I would have should this idea come to fruition. I imagined small groups of energetic people, passionate about writing, brimming with ideas, excited about learning and eager for the challenge. Ultimately, I imagined being surrounded by like-minded people in a place I loved. I wanted to share my two passions; Tarifa and writing. Not everyone gets the chance to create a business from something they love, so ensuring IN THE WRITE LIGHT was a success and that all the participants had an amazing time became my goal in life. Although I did everything in my power to make sure everything went well and everyone was happy, I need not have worried. In each group, the people who attended understood my intention exactly. All fell in love with Tarifa and the farm instantly; the tutors proved inspirational both as teachers and colleagues and the sun shone throughout. I feel very proud to have created this project and look forward to many more exciting workshops, to working and learning with many great writers and meeting lots of inspiring people. No matter how many workshops I attend, the variety of styles never ceases to amaze me. It is concrete proof, if ever it was needed, of how individual we all truly are.

In the very near future, we head for Morocco! Watch this space.
